Most of the useful little things I run across on are on blogs and random personal web sites, so I thought I’d share. It’s just really an archive of the stuff I’ve found useful and hopefully you’ll find something here too.
I’m usually not too picky about your comments and opinions, so do whatever. But … if you’re just being mean, unhelpful, stupid, or a jerk in general … I’ll delete your stuff.
If you’ve got questions, comments, or smart remarks that don’t have anything to do with a posted topic, drop me a line … cryptofreek{at}gmail{dot}com
I have many very religious and very non-religious people who visit here; while I understand debate, personal attacks will not be tolerated. There are ways disagree and be civil.
I am personally a very spiritual; however, I don’t care much for religion. To some of you, that is a contradiction in terms but I don’t see it that way. My professional life and some of my hobbies/interests do not (on the surface) seem to lend themselves well to the spiritual realm. I was educated as an engineer, and as such I have a fascination with the natural universe. I am also a reasonably traditional Christian, but not fundamental. I do not believe that the natural and supernatural are meant to always mesh, and you won’t find me trying to prove or disprove one with the other.
When I talk about science I’m usually not going to bring faith into the discussion, and vice versa. In fact, I may discuss one without any consideration for the other.
Free speech is a wonderful thing …
Making other people feel dumb needlessly is not a wonderful thing …
I don’t censor comments on content or personal opinions. However, I just might not publish your comments if you can’t argue/present your points without resulting in name calling and general butt-holery.
If you don’t agree with something that is said, there are grown-up ways to express it.
That’s all :)
